RxArt took a field trip out to Randall's Island for the New York Frieze Art Fair. With 180 participating galleries, a sculpture park, and a D.A.P book shop, there was a lot to see. Though we missed Mark Ruffalo and Gavin Brown cooking up sausages on the opening day, we had a great time strolling through the fair and seeing all it had to offer (and we spotted Natalie Portman with baby in tow). Exhibited were some of our favorite artists and collaborators, as well as many others we hope to work with in the future. See photos below for more!
On Wednesday evening Ryan McGinley showcased his newest work, Animals and Grids, at both Team Gallery locations. Animals featured nude studio portraits of friends and models with their animal of choice, leading to humorous, beautiful, occasionally painful, and generally unpredictable results. Grids, a much more emotional and intimate-feeling body of work, focuses on close-up portraits of young fans at concerts.
Atlas Sound played a brief but fun set on the rooftop of the Wooster Street location, which was shut down but then moved into the gallery. See below for more photos and video!

This weekend, RxArt was in Miami for another installment of Art Basel. Artists like Nate Lowman, Aurel Schmidt, Scott Campbell, Brendan Fowler, Sam Falls and many more were represented at the fair. With all the events, booths, and parties going on, trying to see all the art becomes a hectic event. Below are a few selects.
RxArt stopped by Printed Matter's annual Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1. There was a lot to see - we took photos of a few select books. See below!
