Between the Lines: A Coloring Book of Drawings by Contemporary Artists, Volume 1

The RxArt Coloring Book, Between the Lines: A Coloring Book of Drawings by Contemporary Artists, is a brilliant project effortlessly fusing the talents of today’s top projects into a hallmark of childhood tradition. RxArt Coloring Books are given to children in health care facilities with which we are working. Like the artwork we install, the coloring book is meant to give the children and their families something new and stimulating to think about. It is another tool to take children to an emotionally less stressful place and it emphasizes our focus on providing a creative outlet for children confined to the austerity of a hospital room. Between the Lines features the work of over 50 projects on the cutting edge of contemporary art. Projects featured in the book include Vito Acconci, Rita Ackermann, John Baldessari, Sol LeWitt, Laura Owens, Kenny Scharf and William Wegman. The book is 112 pages long and features four pages of stickers. The book is distributed to children in hospitals where we have projects free of charge and available for sale on our website and in museums and book stores in the United States and Europe. 

We are excited to announce the forthcoming publication of Between the Lines: Volume 2, which will include original work by a collection of artists not featured in Volume I. Ed Ruscha, Raymond Pettibon, Nate Lowman, and Mickalene Thomas are among the 50 contemporary artists who have contributed a unique selection of drawings and stickers. Look for Volume 2 of the coloring book in November!
