New Addition to RxArt

I am so very glad to announce that I have just joined the RxArt team as a communications/graphic design intern. My name is Geertje Schokker and I am a Dutch student finishing my last year of Communications. In 2005 I fell in love with this amazing city when I was here on vacation. After another short trip to New York in 2008, I just knew I had to do an internship here. After a LONG and tiring visa process, here I am!!

I have always been interested in art, so deciding to pursue visual communications wasn’t a hard decision for me. I know it’s a cliché to say but I really believe that a picture says more than a thousand words – which comes in handy when you are better with graphics than with words! I recently also got into photography and took four months of photography classes, and I absolutely loved it.

For all you art lovers out there who are planning to visit The Netherlands in the near future, there is a great photography museum in Amsterdam called FOAM, which has amazing exhibitions. My all-time favorite museum in The Netherlands has to be Groninger Museum, a contemporary art museum situated in a beautiful building in Groningen.

RxArt is such a great and unique initiative and I am so glad to be part of their team. I am looking forward to learning everything there is to know about contemporary art and working with them on their beautiful upcoming projects.
