Pattern and Degradation

This past Saturday, the RxArt team headed over to the Gavin Brown’s Enterprise for Rob Pruitt’s opening reception, and the pieces Pruitt unveiled were nothing short of incredible.

His newest body of work attracted a packed house—we especially gravitated towards his vivid self portraits and humanized stacks of cardboard (thanks to XXL googly eyes). The crowd noshed on Oreos, black and white M&M’s, and gold coin chocolates, fittingly served in stacks of tires; Pruitt’s clearly a pro at offering something for everyone. We left the exhibition invigorated and inspired (and it wasn’t just the sugar high).
Be sure to stop by and see for yourself the larger-than-life fun house that is Rob Pruitt’s Pattern and Degradation, and while you’re at it, take a look at Rob’s playful masterpieces that he created for RxArt and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital here.
The show runs until October 23rd.
