Poetry at the Gagosian Gallery

RxArt is thrilled to announce that a few dear artist friends of ours will be debuting new works this weekend! Dan Colen and Rob Pruitt open tonight and tomorrow respectively, and judging by Dan’s major NY Times feature article this morning and Rob’s humorous take on the Art Forum cover, the shows will undoubtedly draw a crowd.

Dan Colen (the mastermind behind our most popular RxArt puzzle) will debut his first major solo exhibition, entitled “Poetry” at the Gagosian Gallery (pictured above) tonight from 6 to 8 pm. The show will remain open until Oct. 16th.

Rob Pruitt (the creative genius behind RxArt’s St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital installation) will be displaying his newest works at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, entitled Pattern and Degradation.  Pruittt’s opening reception will be held tomorrow, Sept. 11, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm and run until Oct. 23rd.

P.S. Don’t forget to stop by Lafco while you are out party-hopping at Fashion’s Night Out this evening! Pick up some fancy lotions and potions, sip an organic acai cocktail, cut a rug to the DJ’s beats, and (best of all) help support RxArt in the process!
