On Sunday, April 28th, 2019, RxArt collaborating artist Dan Colen kindly opened the doors to his Brooklyn studio to Friends of RxArt for an incredible afternoon hearing about his discipline ad approach to painting and previewing works in process. RxArt is proud to have collaborated with Colen on a project at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside, Queens, which transformed their 2,500 square foot activity center. Title Moments like this… Colen’s installation at St. Mary’s consists of vibrant, larger than life, hand-painted confetti, swirling across the walls and ceiling of this space that hospital patients use daily.
