On Monday, May 22, The Marciano Art Foundation welcomed RxArt’s founder Diane Brown and Friends of RxArt for a private preview tour of the Collection before it opened to the public. Olivia Marciano, an RxArt Advisory Board Member, welcomed the group and shared an introduction to the inaugural exhibition of The Maurice and Paul Marciano Collection. Alex Israel spoke about his work and notably his installation Valet Parking (2013), which presents a portrait of Los Angeles – Palm Trees and parking meters included.

The Marciano collection includes over 1,500 artworks by an international, multi-generational roster of artists including RxArt collaborating artists Alex Israel, Dan Colen, and Jonas Wood.

Friends of RxArt members have access to artists’ studios, special events such as the RxArt PARTY and LA Party, art fairs, and much more throughout the year. Generous support from this dynamic community helps to make RxArt’s Projects possible.
