Walead Beshty Studio Visit: LA Friends of RxArt

On March 1st, 2017, Walead Beshty invited Friends of RxArt to join him in his studio for a special evening of conversation with art historian and curator Suzanne Hudson.

Walead Beshty is a multidisciplinary artist whose work includes sculpture, painting, photography, installation and writing. He worked with RxArt on a major installation for the Center for Advanced Care at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL in 2016. Embracing chance and discovery, Beshty’s work investigates the conceptual and formal aspects of the photographic medium. His work is internationally exhibited and included in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago; MCA, Chicago; MOCA, LA; MoMa, NY; SFMOMA; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum; Walker Art Center; Whitney Museum of Art; and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Beshty was born in London in 1976 and is currently living and working in Los Angeles, CA.
