RxArt continues to touch the lives of patients and hospital staff far and wide, and on September 14, 2010, five original Jason Middlebrook pieces were installed in the Oncology Unit of CHRISTUS Hospital – St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas.
Middlebrook’s paintings stem from his wall mural created at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. His modern interpretation of botanicals, entitled Traveling Seeds, depicts seeds on a journey through their circle of life. The subject matter is designed to inspire and uplift cancer patients throughout their treatment.
The project was made possible by a generous donation from Mollie and Robert Meyers. The couple dedicated the paintings on September 14th to Robert’s physician, Dr. Robert Birdwell, doctor of oncology and internal medicine.
CHRISTUS Hospital – St. Elizabeth is the first Texas hospital to receive a donation from RxArt.
