RxART is proud to have worked with Derrick Adams on a project for the Pediatric Emergency Department at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Derrick Adams created a detailed design that was translated into wall coverings for six treatment rooms in the Pediatric Emergency Department. Adams’ bright and playful artwork has transformed the treatment rooms into an engaging environment for children and their families, allowing the patients to focus on the details of the artwork while receiving treatment.

The Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem provides emergency care for ill and injured infants, children, and adolescents, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The department serves over 18,000 pediatric patients annually. Most patients are directed to one of the six treatment rooms for examinations, various treatments, and procedures.

RxART produces every project at no cost to the hospital. RxART is grateful to the William E. Weiss Foundation for lead support of this project and thanks the Board of Directors and donors to the 2020 Harlem Campaign.
