Longtime RxART friend and collaborator Kenny Scharf hosted Friends of RxART Members for a Virtual Studio Visit on March 2, 2021. RxART Founder Diane Brown introduced Kenny and talked about his RxART Project for Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, which was installed in 2013. Kenny covered a large stairwell in the Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit with his signature style of painting, filling it with happy characters that make the constantly used passageway much more joyful. Diane and Kenny were joined by gallerist David Totah, who was situated in Kenny’s FUNUNDERWORLD installation at TOTAH in NYC.
