When we launched the End-of-Year Fundraiser in December 2011 to raise the last $2,000 for an installation at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital, we could not have anticipated the enormous response and outpouring of contributions from our supporters.  Thanks to your generosity, we were able to install fourteen luminous photographs by James Welling in the hospital’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences in April 2012.

The fourteen photographs are from acclaimed photographer Welling’s Glass House series, featuring Philip Johnson’s eponymous house in New Canaan, Connecticut.  In each of the vibrant images, the single architectural site is transformed by nature and various colored lenses.  Reflective light, mirror-like surfaces and striking colors invite comparisons amongst the collective works, which line the walls of the waiting area and patient paths.

Thank you to all our generous supporters for making this project possible and helping bring art to Atlanta’s patients.
