Laura Owens at Cedars-Sinai

RxART worked with Laura Owens (along with Urs Fischer and Sam Falls) at Cedars-Sinai’s Maxine Dunitz Children’s Health Center in Los Angeles, CA to transform the pediatric inpatient rooms. Original designs by each artist were installed on the ceilings and walls of 16 inpatient rooms where children spend the majority of their time. Rather than being surrounded by a completely sterile environment during long stays, the vibrant artwork crowning the rooms will captivate the patients’ imaginations and provide healthy distractions. RxART is grateful to Maurice Marciano for generous lead support of this project. Additional heartfelt thanks to Peri Arenas, Florence and Serge Azria, Mara Buxbaum, Gagosian, Kiehl’s Since 1851, Jerry & Terri Kohl Family Foundation, McCrea Foundation, Nathalie Marciano, Nordstrom, Saban Family Foundation, William E. Weiss Foundation, as well as the RxART Advisory Board and RxART Advocates: Olivia Marciano, Jamie G. Manné, Aimee Gabbard, Alex Gaty, and Lauren Jack. RxART is grateful to partner with Flavor Paper in producing this project.
