RxART is proud to announce the completion of a major installation by Nicolas Party, “Trees For Children,” 2021, at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Party created an extensive mural for the 207-foot corridor that leads to CHLA’s Operating Department. The installation significantly transforms this long and often frightening hallway that is traversed constantly. Instead of focusing on ominous white walls and stark lighting, those passing through will be mesmerized by the artist’s vibrant and poetic work.

The hospital provides nearly 16,500 surgeries a year, including more complex surgical procedures than any other hospital in Southern California. CHLA is the top-ranked children’s hospital in Southern California and among the top 10 in the nation. The mission of CHLA is to “Create hope and build healthier futures,” which RxArt is committed to complimenting with this project. RxArt produces every project at no cost to the hospital. Sincere thanks to Betsee Isenberg and Tom Atencio, The Rallis Foundation, and Westfield Century City for the generous support to make this project possible.
