Anna Weyant

Anna Weyant (b. 1995, Calgary, Canada) is a New York-based painter whose comedic, somewhat sinister, work finds its inspiration somewhere between contemporary portrait painting and the Dutch Golden Age. The doll-like women who populate her images engage in tragicomic narratives, usually inspired by the strange period between childhood and adulthood.

Weyant has exhibited in solo exhibitions at Blum & Poe, Los Angeles, CA (2021) and 56 Henry, New York, NY (2019). She lives and works in New York City. Weyant is featured in Between the Lines: An RxART Coloring Book by Contemporary Artists – Volume 8.
