Ivy Haldeman

Ivy Haldeman (b. 1985, Aurora, CO) is best known for her large-scale paintings of anthropomorphized hotdogs and power suits. Positioning these objects in highly feminized poses, Haldeman questions the relationships between gender, power, and consumerism.

Haldeman has been the subject of recent solo exhibitions at Downs & Ross, New York (2021); François Ghebaly, Los Angeles (2020); Hauser & Wirth, New York (2019); Capsule Shanghai, China (2019); and Downs & Ross, New York (2018), among others. The artist earned her BFA from The Cooper Union in 2008. Haldeman’s work is featured in Between the Lines: An RxART Coloring Book by Contemporary Artists – Volume 8.
