Sanya Kantarovsky (b. 1982, Moscow, Russia) is known for his work across a variety of mediums, as well as texts and curatorial projects. His widely celebrated figurative paintings are known for drastic shifts in scale, paint application, and stylization.
Kantarovsky studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and obtained his MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles. His work has been exhibited in New York, Berlin, and London, and is held in the collection of the Dallas Museum of Art, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C., the Tate and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
In July, 2022 RxART in partnership with Artspace released a Limited Edition print by Kantarovsky, proceeds from which will support RxART.
