Caroline Walker

Caroline Walker (b. 1982, Dunfermline, Scotland) is a London-based artist who creates intimate scenes of women obscured by windows and doorways. Walker examines the voyeuristic aspect of painting and finds her source images by photographing women throughout London in settings such as restaurants, hair salons and hotels.

Walker has been featured in recent solo exhibitions at KM21, The Hague, Netherlands (2021); GRIMM, New York (2021); Ingleby Gallery, United Kingdom (2020); GRIMM, Amsterdam, Netherlands (2019); and Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge, United Kingdom (2018), among others.
