Jane Corrigan

Jane Corrigan (b. 1980, Shawville, Quebec) is heavily invested in the narrative potential of painting, populating her work with a cast of engaging, typically female, characters. Her figures are realized in a hazy, cartoonish style often likened to Impressionism. She utilizes mythological, biblical, and personal symbols to further enhance her narratives.

Corrigan received her BFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and her MFA from S.U.N.Y. Purchase. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at Galerie Antoine Ertaskiran, Montreal (2019); Feuer/Mesler, New York (2016); Retrospective, Hudson, NY (2015) and Kerry Schuss, New York (2014), among others. Curtis’s work is featured in Between the Lines: An RxART Coloring Book by Contemporary Artists – Volume 8. Click here to download and color her spread.
