Caitlin Keogh

Caitlin Keogh (b. 1982, Anchorage, AK) typically creates paintings and drawings of textile patterns and fashion accessories pulled from fashion magazines and art history. She utilizes a traditional sign painting technique to create precise, graphic images — placing an emphasis on commercialization and exploring the gendered and fetishized history of fashion and material culture.

Keogh’s work has been presented in solo exhibitions at Overduin & Co, Los Angeles, CA (2021); Bortolami, New York (2020); The Approach Gallery, London (2018); and ICA Boston, MA (2018), among others. Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; and the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College, Florida. Keogh lives and works in New York City. Keogh’s work is featured in Between the Lines: An RxART Coloring Book by Contemporary Artists – Volume 8. Click here to download and color her spread.
